An Invitation to CREATE!
Accessing Depth Creativity, Divine Guidance and Universal Wisdom at Will
What if there were a simple, easy process you could practice regularly in whatever time you have available that enabled you to tap into your own divine wisdom and your deepest creative source at will? And what if you could use this process to become more embodied, to surface and resolve shadow, to develop deeper mutuality, to get unstuck, to break through whatever is holding you back, to live a more free and passionate life, and to reach the goals you hold most dear?
CREATE! is such a process. I use the term “create” in its widest sense as this process allows anyone access to their own depth creativity at will, while inviting and supporting their individual development and evolution. Grounded in brain research, the work is a marriage of art and science. CREATE! has been taught using writing, movement, and visual media as vehicles to access our interiority. Over several decades, it has proven to be both expansive and practical, in that it has broad application as a spiritual practice and it can also produce finished products.
For example, members of practice groups have used it to:
• probe issues impacting health and wellbeing,
• gain access to individual and collective wisdom,
• explore spiritual questions and realms,
• integrate discoveries into living more fully and passionately each day,
• break through creative blocks (work, writing, art, music),
• write novels, produce paintings, collages, works of art
• write poems,
• set and reach important personal and professional goals,
• start new businesses
Because of its universality, CREATE! enhances personal evolution and supports wider community and social change. The process works equally well for those who are practicing creatives – artists, writers, composers, dancers, inventors – and for those who think they don’t have a single creative bone in their bodies.
Individuals can benefit from a CREATE! practice in coming to know themselves more deeply and in working through obstacles to their growth and happiness. In the corporate and organizational arenas, teams can use it to enhance creativity and innovation and as a way to bond as a group.
The seven-step CREATE! process guides you into the limitless pool where your deepest creative source resides, allows you to make the dive to retrieve its perfect pearls, and then guides you as you resurface to make use of these treasures in your daily life. The process is organized into seven easy to learn and practice steps. Each step has a “how to” as well as a recommended “practice” in which you will engage.

The CREATE! class surpassed my hopes and expectations by a wide margin. Not only did it improve my writing style - people in my memoir writing group commented, that it is looser and more right-brained and relaxed, - but surprising connections between events emerged in my writings. Deep relaxation led to being astonished at what flowed out of my pen. I also appreciated the support, and the atmosphere of safety, trust and respect you set for the whole class. Thank you.

I am a visual artist; writing has always been hard for me. Joanne assured me that I could choose to paint rather than write for her Create! online workshop. What a surprise that once in the group I decided to use the Create! process to try writing instead of painting. I felt safe in the process, which consists of clearly delineated steps, including meditation/relaxation, a clear intention for each piece and (best of all) a time limit for the writing. Post writing we were offered the opportunity to read our writing aloud. Joanne is a loving and gifted teacher. I felt safe, not only trying something new and uncomfortable, but also to dare reading my writing aloud. It is a bit scary to read aloud something that I haven't first read over to myself. But it turned out to be such a gift. I heard the words freshly, as if for the first time, because others were listening. I was repeatedly surprised by their power and coherence. Joanne listened deeply and responded with insightful reflection which helped me deepen further into the process of revelation. Something magical happened doing this writing process with others. In spite of each of us having different intentions, synchronous themes emerged, making the whole all the more profound. I highly recommend this workshop!

One thing I really appreciated from this class is slowing down while being creative - it helped get the critic away from the front driver seat. What I'm most excited by is the opposite of what I expected to get: I thought I'd "produce more" but I'm valuing the chance to experience my feelings, and also practicing coming into alignment with my intentions. I'm so grateful for your teaching, and the wonderful information exchange and connection with my fellow participants.

This class is affecting me way more than I could have imagined. In my daily life between the weekly classes I notice how the writing process was really working me on a deep level.

I really loved Joanne's class and got way more from it than I anticipated. The writing block I've had since I was 12 has eased and is on the way out. I so appreciated the other people in the class and thought Joanne's teaching and facilitation was excellent.

I came into this class just looking to become more at ease with writing, and I've gotten so much more! I'm a creative person, but taking this class made me realize I hadn't been genuinely surprised by what's come out of me for a long time. I cherish this - the holy source of creation. I also loved the community we created.
